Karachi: (Right Now News) Meta has announced the introduction of a new username feature in WhatsApp. This feature will allow users to use usernames instead of phone numbers.

The purpose of the WhatsApp username feature is to enhance user privacy. Although the feature is not yet active, it will be available soon. Users can reserve their preferred usernames now.

Authorities have stated that the username feature will be launched globally. Users will be notified via notifications when the feature becomes active.

This feature enhances user privacy by helping to hide phone numbers. With this feature, WhatsApp will become more secure like other social media networks.

It should be noted that the username feature can only be reserved within mobile apps. Meta advises users to reserve their usernames as soon as possible to avoid losing their desired names.
