Karachi: (RightNow) ChatGPT has launched a new feature allowing users to lock their sensitive chats. This feature provides security through a PIN code or fingerprint scan.

The feature is designed for users who share their devices with others. According to the company, it works like WhatsApp, enabling chat locks with a 4-digit PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Locked chats do not appear in regular history or pinned chats and can only be accessed in the locked chats folder. The company announced that this feature will gradually be available to all users.

The feature will be accessible to free users as well as subscribers of Go, Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans. It aims to make protecting personal conversations easier.

It is noteworthy that ChatGPT already had a temporary chats feature, which deleted content once the chat closed, but the lock chats feature helps retain sensitive details for longer.
