Iran has confirmed its participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026, with matches scheduled in the USA.
Tehran: (Right Now News) Iran has confirmed its participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026 to be held in the USA. The Iranian Ministry of Sports stated that the team is fully prepared for the World Cup.
Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani announced that all necessary arrangements have been made for the event. FIFA’s president has also confirmed Iran’s participation in the tournament.
Iran has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will begin on June 11 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. All of Iran’s matches are scheduled in the USA, with the first match against New Zealand in Los Angeles on June 15.
Recently, the Iranian Football Federation discussed with FIFA the possibility of moving matches to Mexico due to tensions with the USA and Israel.
It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump stated that Iran’s team would be welcomed, while the Iranian Federation confirmed participation despite Trump’s opposition.
