Riyadh: (RightNow) Saudi Arabia’s Civil Aviation Authority confirms the death of 3 individuals, including a Saudi Airlines pilot, in two attacks at Riyadh Airport. Several others were injured and received immediate medical assistance.

Saudi Airlines reported that Captain Hamoud Ali Al-Kalthami was killed in the attack at Riyadh Airport. The attacks targeted airport facilities and an aircraft.

According to the General Authority of Saudi Civil Aviation, emergency response teams and officials were promptly deployed. Three Saudi citizens were killed, and several injured were taken to the hospital.

The authority stated that damage assessment is underway with the cooperation of security agencies. Necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of passengers and airport staff.

It is noteworthy that all operational activities at the airport have resumed, and air traffic is back to normal.
