Karachi: (RightNow) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested Syed Shehryar Shah, the owner of an illegal overseas employment consultancy, in North Karachi’s Buffer Zone.

According to the FIA spokesperson, the operation was conducted at the office of M/s Quickway Consultant in Sector 15-A/4, where the suspect was running an overseas employment business without a license. Important documents were also seized from the office.

Investigations revealed that the suspect was collecting large sums of money from citizens under the pretense of overseas employment, including Greece work permits.

One affected citizen paid an advance of 1 lakh rupees out of a total of 12 lakh 20 thousand rupees for a Greece work permit, which is a significant amount.

It is noteworthy that the FIA has registered a case against the suspect under the Immigration Ordinance 1979. Further investigations are ongoing, and other victims are being identified.
