Karachi: (RightNow) Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho announces contraceptive surgery for women undergoing a third C-section. The announcement was made at the ‘Maan Rahe Salamat’ Family Planning Summit held at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

During the summit, Dr. Pechuho stated that Sindh leads in maternal and child health legislation. She highlighted the introduction of several health sector laws.

Dr. Pechuho further mentioned that C-section births have increased maternal mortality rates. Efforts are underway to address this issue, with results expected soon.

The Health Minister declared that women undergoing a third C-section will receive contraceptive surgery to reduce mortality rates.

It is noteworthy that various measures are being taken in Sindh to improve maternal and child health.
