Islamabad: (RightNow) The release date for Pakistan’s first Netflix original series based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel ‘Jo Bache Hain Sang Simit Lo’ has been announced. The series will air on Netflix by the end of 2026, marking a new milestone for Pakistani dramas.

The series is based on a novel published in 2009 in Khawateen Digest and later as a book in 2013. Produced in collaboration with Netflix and Hum TV, this series aims to strengthen the international standing of Pakistani dramas.

The cast includes Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Bilal Ashraf, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Iqra Aziz, Sanam Saeed, and Ahad Raza Mir. Directed by Momina Duraid, the promotional campaign for the series will begin soon.

Initially set for a 2025 release, the series was delayed, and the project was postponed. Momina Duraid is now overseeing the final editing. Viewers can expect to see previews soon.

It is noteworthy that the delay in the series caused anxiety among fans. Various reactions have emerged on social media, with some users expressing doubts about the series’ actual release.
