Lahore: (RightNow) Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to launch a movement against inflation across the country. A nationwide road blockade is announced for August 7 in Pakistan.

During a press conference, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman raised his voice against the levy on petroleum products. He stated that imposing a levy on students’ income is unacceptable.

Hafiz Naeem accused the government of imposing a levy akin to extortion. He aims to unite all sectors on a single platform to address this issue.

He further mentioned that if the levy and unjust taxes are removed, petrol prices could decrease by 200 rupees. The government is accused of robbing the public’s pockets.

It is noteworthy that Jamaat-e-Islami has previously protested against inflation and has been trying to awaken the public against government policies.
