Punjab’s new industrial policy offers a 10-year tax exemption to investors, aiming to boost the economy.
Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab’s Minister of Industry, Shafi Hussain, has announced a new industrial policy. Under this policy, investors in free industrial zones will receive a 10-year income tax exemption.
At the opening ceremony of the Color and Chem Expo at the Lahore Expo Center, the Minister stated that investors will obtain a 4-year lease and NOC within just 30 days. Import duty on machinery will be zero.
Additional incentives will be provided in the industrial areas of Sheikhupura, Bhalwal, and Rahim Yar Khan. The Minister mentioned that Chinese companies are also planning to set up new factories in Punjab.
Funds have been approved for 24 small industrial estates in the province. The government will introduce a new policy to promote the chemicals industry.
It is noteworthy that the 11th Color and Chem Expo 2026 is a two-day event. It features 350 national and international companies where investors will discuss modern trends.
