Pakistan secures $16.2 billion loan from China but misses foreign loan target.
Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan has secured $16.2 billion in external loans from China in the last fiscal year. This includes $1.7 billion in refinancing.
According to official figures, Pakistan’s foreign loan target was $19.92 billion, but it fell short by $3.72 billion.
Government sources stated that a loan of $953.74 million was also received from the Asian Development Bank.
These loans are crucial for the country’s economic survival as the government faces a financial crisis.
