Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan and China have launched new partnerships to advance the modern pharmaceutical industry. With the support of SIFC (Special Investment Facilitation Council), cooperation in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and healthcare sectors is increasing.

A Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical and Healthcare B2B Investment Conference was held in Islamabad. Over 300 pharmaceutical companies, Chinese suppliers, investors, and business representatives participated. Approximately $440 million worth of 9 investment agreements were finalized.

Chinese investors have stated that there are vast opportunities for further partnerships in research, innovation, and the pharmaceutical sector. They have deemed this cooperation significant.

The CEOs of We Soul Group and LDS Pharma stated that these agreements will enable local vaccine production in Pakistan. This will help meet the country’s needs.

It is noteworthy that the conference was organized with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health, SIFC, and the Drug Regulatory Authority. This has further strengthened investors’ confidence in the pharmaceutical sector.
