Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity for protecting taxpayer data. He states that the project’s progress will be regularly reviewed.
During a meeting on the National Faceless Center project, the Finance Minister received a detailed briefing on technology development and phased rollout. Discussions focused on making the project digital, transparent, and centralized.
The Finance Minister instructed that the project be completed on time with the cooperation of operational and technology teams. Progress on rule-based case selection, risk engine, and system integration was also reviewed.
Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted the necessity of an effective pilot phase before nationwide implementation to identify potential flaws. He reiterated the government’s commitment to establishing a modern digital tax administration.
