Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan has protested against the joint declaration by Japan and India accusing it of cross-border terrorism. The Japanese ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office and formally issued a demarche.

Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andarabi stated that a formal protest was lodged with the Japanese ambassador. He further mentioned that there has been no change in Japan’s policy towards Pakistan.

The spokesperson added that India often tries to include unilateral points in such joint declarations. Pakistan hopes Japan will not become part of India’s approach.

This issue is significant as it could affect Pakistan-Japan relations. Pakistan has made it clear that such allegations are unacceptable.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first time Pakistan has been accused of terrorism in a joint declaration by Japan and India. Pakistan has consistently denied such allegations in the past.
