Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently met with NDMA Chairman Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik. The Prime Minister instructed effective coordination with provincial governments during monsoon rains.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, he emphasized strengthening ties with Provincial Disaster Management Authorities. He instructed ensuring no disruptions occur during the monsoon season.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed on emergency preparedness for the monsoon rains. NDMA assured its readiness for potential situations.

The Prime Minister was also directed to fully activate the early warning system. Progress on collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change was also discussed.

It is noteworthy that monsoon rains often lead to emergencies in the country. The government has focused on proactive measures this time.
