Washington: (RightNow). U.S. President Donald Trump has withdrawn his statement about imposing a toll on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that Gulf countries have offered to invest billions of dollars in the U.S. in exchange for protection.

During a press conference with the Iraqi Prime Minister at the White House, President Trump mentioned that he had given Iran a chance to make a deal. According to him, Iran broke the agreement by attacking first.

President Trump further stated that after Iran’s attack, the U.S. took strong action against them. He called Iran’s action a mistake.

President Trump described Iranians as difficult people and claimed that Iran is now destabilized. He said that Iran’s military power is almost depleted.

It is noteworthy that the Strait of Hormuz is a crucial trade corridor, and the U.S. has collaborated with Gulf countries for its protection.
