Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistan LNG Limited has issued a new tender for the spot purchase of an LNG cargo. Global companies have been invited to submit bids by tomorrow, and the bids will be opened on the same day.

According to PLL, the bids are for LNG supply scheduled between July 21 and 22. Pakistan has already purchased three LNG cargos for July.

PLL stated that the LNG cargo for July 15 to 16 was purchased at $18.23 per MMBTU, while the supply for July 10 to 11 was bought at $17.37 per MMBTU.

Additionally, the LNG cargo from June 30 to July 4 was acquired at $16.73 per MMBTU. The lowest bid received was $18.23 per MMBTU.

It is noteworthy that recent attacks in the Strait of Hormuz have disrupted gas supply, leading to a rise in global prices.
