Islamabad: (RightNow) An Additional District and Sessions Judge has sentenced the main accused, Farukh Khokhar, to life imprisonment in the Majid Satti murder case. Along with Farukh Khokhar, three individuals were convicted, while one accused, Waseem, was acquitted.

The court ordered Farukh Khokhar to be sent to Adiala Jail under strict security after the conviction. Farukh Khokhar was on bail, while the other two convicts were brought from jail to the court.

At the time of the verdict, a large number of Majid Satti’s family and relatives were present at the judicial complex. Strict security measures were in place to maintain order.

This case gained significance when Farukh Khokhar, who had resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party, joined Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.

It should be noted that the accused were charged with killing Majid Satti on August 23, 2022. The deceased, Majid Satti, was affiliated with PTI and was murdered while trying to prevent a land grab.
