Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has sufficient flour reserves, but Punjab’s supply restrictions are causing issues.
Peshawar: (Right Now News) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Information Minister Shafi Jan stated that the province has ample flour reserves. However, restrictions on flour supply from Punjab are causing supply chain issues.
Shafi Jan revealed that government warehouses hold 153,000 metric tons, and the private sector has 114,806 metric tons of flour. In total, 265,000 metric tons of flour are available.
He mentioned that obstacles in supply from Punjab persist, with flour delivery being affected at border checkpoints. Vehicles are being charged hefty amounts.
This situation is concerning for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Measures are needed to meet the province’s requirements.
It is noteworthy that Punjab has imposed restrictions on flour supply, impacting the supply chain.
