Middle East: (Right Now News) The United States initiated new strikes on Iran on Wednesday night. Explosions echoed in Tehran, Qeshm, Bandar Abbas, and other locations.

According to US CENTCOM, several targets in Iran were hit. Radar systems and communication networks were destroyed. The strikes were in response to threats against US forces and commercial ships.

Iranian news agency reported a standoff between US and Iranian forces in the Strait of Hormuz. The Revolutionary Guards claimed to have targeted US naval ships.

The Khatam al-Anbiya Command stated that any ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz would be targeted following the US strikes. The strait is now closed to all vessels.

It is noteworthy that US President Trump had claimed that strikes would be halted at Iran’s request. Iran denied this, stating that US strikes ceased due to Iranian retaliation.
