The Azad Kashmir government has begun legal action against Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Khawaja Mehran Arshad following revelations of anti-state activities in a leaked audio.
Muzaffarabad: (Right Now News) The Azad Kashmir Home Department has initiated legal proceedings against Shaukat Nawaz Mir and Khawaja Mehran Arshad on charges of sedition and anti-state activities.
The government has ordered an investigation against Shaukat Nawaz Mir under Section 124A. Available evidence indicates further investigation is required.
District police have been instructed to complete the investigation under Section 196. Police have been directed to present the charge sheet in the relevant court.
In the alleged audio call, both individuals were planning a confrontation in Rawalakot. The audio revealed plans against state institutions.
It should be noted that the Jammu Kashmir Joint Public Action Committee has been declared banned. The government has announced strict action against those disrupting public order.
