Lahore: (Right Now News) The ICC has declared the pitches at Lords and Gaddafi Stadium as unsatisfactory, awarding each venue one demerit point. Both match referees expressed concerns over these pitches.

According to the ICC, match referees raised concerns about the pitches used in the England vs. New Zealand Test and the Pakistan vs. Australia third ODI. Reports indicated that the pitch performance did not meet the required standards.

Match referee Andy Pycroft highlighted unusual seam movement and bounce on the Lords pitch. It was noted that scoring runs was difficult on the Gaddafi Stadium pitch, which favored spinners.

The ICC has sent reports to the ECB and PCB, granting them a 14-day period to appeal. These pitches have never previously received demerit points.

It is important to note that under ICC rules, an unsatisfactory pitch receives one demerit point, while an unplayable pitch receives three. A venue can be banned from hosting international cricket for one year with six points, and for two years with twelve points.
