Dubai: (Right Now News) The International Cricket Council has approved the use of the pink ball in Test matches due to poor lighting conditions. This step aims to prevent time wastage.

The ICC released a statement following its board meetings. According to the statement, the pink ball will be used with the consent of both teams.

In T20 matches, the innings break will be 15 minutes. The ICC has decided to hold India’s matches at a neutral venue for the Women’s T20 World Cup in Pakistan in 2028.

The ICC board has expressed concerns over the rise of franchise cricket and plans to form a committee to assess the balance between the international calendar and franchise cricket.

It should be noted that the ICC Women’s Champions Trophy 2027 will be played from February 14 to 28 instead of June-July. This change considers players’ commitments.
