FBR has intensified its tax collection efforts after a 683 billion rupee shortfall, keeping offices open on weekends for taxpayer convenience.
Islamabad: (Right Now News) The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that its offices will remain open on Saturday and Sunday to meet the tax target due to a shortfall of 683 billion rupees.
According to the announcement, all relevant FBR offices, including LTOs, MTOs, CTOs, and RTOs, will be open on the weekend.
The FBR spokesperson stated that all field offices will operate on May 30 and 31 during regular hours to provide maximum convenience to taxpayers.
This move is significant as it will enhance the government’s tax collection efforts and reduce pressure on the financial system.
It is noteworthy that FBR is facing challenges in meeting the tax revenue target for the current fiscal year, prompting this action.
