Lahore: (Right Now News) The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to retain Shan Masood as the Test team captain. Sarfaraz Ahmed has been appointed as the head coach for the first time.

The Pakistan Cricket Board made the official announcement following the schedule release for the Bangladesh series. Sarfaraz Ahmed, who is also a national selector, will replace Azhar Mahmood.

The last Test series was played against South Africa, which ended in a draw. Under Shan Masood’s leadership, the team will play series against Bangladesh, West Indies, and England.

By retaining Shan Masood as captain, the policy of consistency continues. The white-ball head coach is New Zealand’s Mike Hesson, while Shaheen Shah Afridi is the ODI captain.

It is noteworthy that under Sarfaraz Ahmed’s leadership, a red-ball camp is ongoing at the National Cricket Academy. Young opener Azaan Awais has shown outstanding performance in domestic cricket, aiming to represent Pakistan in all formats.
