Tehran: (Right Now News) Iran’s semi-official news agency Mehr News has denied reports of an Iranian negotiating team arriving in Islamabad. According to Mehr News, an informed source has dismissed claims of the Iranian delegation’s arrival in Pakistan for talks with U.S. officials as baseless.

The report stated that some media outlets claimed the Iranian negotiating team had reached Islamabad. However, an informed source clarified that no such development has occurred, and the news is incorrect.

Mehr News reported that the source said negotiations remain suspended. Talks cannot resume until the U.S. fulfills its responsibilities regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon.

The report further mentioned that if Israeli attacks continue, the negotiation process cannot progress. Tehran is linking the situation in Lebanon to the current diplomatic stalemate.

It is noteworthy that in recent days, various claims about potential U.S.-Iran contacts have surfaced. Iranian sources have previously stated that negotiations will remain suspended until a ceasefire and cessation of attacks in Lebanon are achieved.
