Karachi: (RightNow) Good news for consumers as LPG prices may decrease by Rs 50 per kilogram. This reduction is expected in the next 1-2 days, providing significant relief to consumers.

Ali Haider, Convener of FPCCI LPG Standing Committee, stated that Iranian LPG tankers loaded by October 16 have been permitted to enter Pakistan. The arrival of approximately 900 tankers will improve LPG supply.

Ali Haider mentioned that price reductions will begin in the next 24 hours. He further criticized OGRA’s pricing formula, suggesting prices should be set weekly.

He added that Pakistan imported five LPG ships in October, bringing 22 thousand tons of LPG into the country, enhancing the supply.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s daily LPG demand is 12 to 13 thousand tons, with Karachi consuming 4 to 5 thousand tons daily. In Karachi, 40% of consumption is commercial and 30% is industrial.
