Peshawar: (RightNow) LPG prices have risen in Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Peshawar, LPG is now Rs 600 per kg, while in northern areas, it has reached Rs 750 per kg.

The LPG crisis has intensified nationwide. Following Iran-US tensions, LPG supply has decreased, leading to price hikes.

OGRA has set the official LPG price at Rs 279.34 per kg. However, it is being sold at Rs 550 to Rs 600 per kg in the market.

Citizens say the price increase is affecting the poor. Due to the unavailability of natural gas, the use of wood has increased.

It is noteworthy that wood prices have also risen, now reaching Rs 1600 to Rs 1800 per maund.
