Islamabad: (RightNow) NAB Chairman Lt. Gen. (R) Nazir Ahmed states that Bahria Town’s head, Malik Riaz, has made mistakes. He should face the courts and then resume his business. He emphasized that no one who makes money illegally will be spared.

Malik Riaz and his son Ali Riaz are wanted in various cases, including the Al-Qadir Trust case involving £190 million. Their passports have been blocked, and they have been declared absconders. NAB has issued red notices against them.

The NAB Chairman revealed that NAB is collaborating with Pakistan Railways on a land recovery project. He mentioned that stolen assets will be recovered from land grabbers, and cases will be filed against those occupying railway lands.

He noted that the value of recovered land does not include construction costs. Development projects can be initiated using financial assets. The recovery figures exceed those of the PSDP.

It is important to note that 37 NAB teams are continuously working, and operations will also be conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Rawalpindi. The NAB Chairman is committed to bringing transparency in the power sector and other financial matters.
