Washington: (RightNow) US Vice President JD Vance states that the US has dismantled Iran’s nuclear program but now seeks verifiable assurance from Tehran that it will not restart its nuclear program.

According to an Al Jazeera report, Vance emphasized that the US wants to ensure Iran’s uranium enrichment capabilities are not restored. He stated it is crucial for the US that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons in the coming years.

The Vice President raised concerns about whether Iran might attempt to develop nuclear weapons after the current US administration. He mentioned that the US requires a verified assurance.

Vance’s statement indicates that Washington’s concern extends beyond merely damaging Iran’s current nuclear facilities, emphasizing the importance of preventing future restoration.

It is noteworthy that Iran has long denied intentions to develop nuclear weapons, maintaining that it has the right to pursue a nuclear program for peaceful purposes.
