Washington: (RightNow) Differences have emerged within the US government over the live stream of Nidal Hasan’s execution for his crime at Fort Hood. Members of President Donald Trump’s party and religious leaders have expressed reservations about the plan.

US Vice President JD Vance states that the Department of Defense has not made a final decision on broadcasting the execution live. Nidal Hasan’s execution is scheduled for December 3 at Fort Hood, where he killed 13 people in 2009.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that Nidal Hasan will be executed by firing squad and the event will be live-streamed. However, Republican Party members oppose this plan.

It is noteworthy that the United Nations Human Rights Office and Amnesty International have also raised objections to this proposal, stating that public broadcasts of executions are a cruel practice.

The issue of live broadcasts of executions in the US has already been a topic of debate, raising legal and ethical questions.
