Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended flights to Riyadh due to escalating tensions in the Middle East. PIA’s Islamabad to Riyadh flight PK-753 and Riyadh to Islamabad flight PK-754 have been canceled.

PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan stated that flights to Riyadh are temporarily suspended due to the deteriorating situation in the Middle East. The spokesperson advised passengers to contact PIA’s call center for assistance.

The Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the suspension of flights to Riyadh. Officials stated that PIA has only suspended flights to Riyadh, while operations to other cities continue.

This decision follows missile and drone attacks by Houthi rebels on Saudi airports, resulting in three deaths and 36 injuries, according to Saudi officials.

It is important to note that Houthi rebels continue to attack Saudi airports, causing casualties. PIA’s decision aims to ensure passenger safety.
