Tabuk: (RightNow). Saudi Arabia has denied landing permission to an Israeli plane following an emergency situation on a FlyDubai flight to Tel Aviv. Israel’s attempt to send a special aircraft to retrieve its citizens stranded in Saudi Arabia has failed.

According to Saudi aviation, FlyDubai flight FZ 1073 issued an emergency landing call at Tabuk airport in the morning. During the landing, the captain and co-pilot were injured and have been transferred to the hospital.

A FlyDubai spokesperson stated that all passengers are safe, and arrangements are being made for an alternative aircraft to reach their destination. Israeli authorities have labeled the incident as a potential terrorist attack and have initiated an investigation.

The incident has caused a stir in Israel, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an emergency consultation. He stated that the situation is under control and Israel is taking steps to bring back its citizens.

It is noteworthy that FlyDubai is a state-owned airline of the United Arab Emirates, established in 2008. Air travel between Dubai and Israel normalized after 2020, leading to increased flights between the two countries.
