Lahore: (RightNow) Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a 10-day Basant festival in Lahore. This decision is made to celebrate the arrival of the new year 2027.

Maryam Nawaz has instructed to gift Lahoris a 10-day Basant celebration. The festival will be held from January 29 to February 7.

On February 5, there will be a pause in the Basant festivities to observe Kashmir Day. Earlier this year, Basant was celebrated from February 6 to 8 after a 25-year hiatus.

The extended Basant festival is expected to revive Lahore’s cultural vibrancy. This decision aims to bring joy to the city’s residents.

It is noteworthy that the Basant festival was previously suspended for various reasons but is now being reinstated.
