PPP’s Manzoor Wasan rejects new provinces in Sindh, warns of increased deprivation.
Karachi: (RightNow) PPP leader Manzoor Wasan has warned decision-makers to act wisely and avoid creating Balochistan-like conditions in Sindh. He stated that any proposal to create new provinces will not be accepted.
Manzoor Wasan mentioned that the people of Sindh are already feeling deprived. Creating new provinces will increase this sense of deprivation, and the public will reject such decisions.
The PPP leader noted that the country’s crisis has escalated and should not be further aggravated. The PPP leadership stands to protect Sindh’s interests.
He added that efforts to turn Sindh’s divisions into provinces are ongoing. This stance was also present during the MQM and Zia-ul-Haq eras.
It is noteworthy that since the martyrdom of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, discussions about creating new provinces in Sindh have been ongoing. The PPP will continue to play its role in protecting Sindh.
