Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan states Pakistan is affected by climate change despite its minimal contribution. He expresses a desire for Swiss government cooperation.

A meeting took place at Governor House Lahore with Swiss Ambassador Stephan Ray. Senior Political Advisor Usama Qaiser Khan was also present.

The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in climate change, trade, and education. Sardar Saleem mentioned that exchange programs for scientists and students would broaden relations.

He thanked Swiss companies for their investment in Pakistan. The Swiss Ambassador noted Pakistan’s interest in cooperation in information technology and trade.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan faces issues like floods and crop damage due to climate change, necessitating global cooperation.
