Peshawar: (RightNow) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transport Department is considering a plan to launch a BRT bus service on the motorway between Peshawar and other districts.

Under the plan, Peshawar will be connected to Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, and Charsadda through a modern BRT bus service. Officials have stated that a feasibility study for this project will commence soon.

The Transport Department has decided to research proposed routes, costs, and station locations in the feasibility study.

Officials say operating BRT buses on the motorway is easier compared to GT Road. This service will provide convenience to travelers in Peshawar.

It is noteworthy that the inter-district BRT project aims to establish effective public transport between Peshawar and other districts.
