Peshawar: (RightNow) Peshawar is honored to host its first-ever international squash championship. The Shams Al Qamar PSA Satellite International Squash Championship will take place from August 20 to 24, 2026.

This five-day event is organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association with support from the Shams Al Qamar Foundation. A prize money of $1,000 is set for the competition.

A total of 32 top squash players from across Pakistan will participate in the tournament. They will have the opportunity to earn global ranking points under the Professional Squash Association (PSA).

The championship’s opening ceremony is scheduled for August 20. The main draw and knockout rounds will run from August 20 to 23, with the final on August 24.

It is noteworthy that Peshawar has a remarkable history in squash. Former world number one Qamar Zaman stated that these competitions will highlight the talents of young players.
