New York: (RightNow). On August 12, a total solar eclipse will be visible on Earth, but it also occurs on other planets. NASA has recently released images and videos of solar eclipses on Jupiter and Mars.

Jupiter has 115 moons, with Ganymede being the largest. NASA shared an image of an eclipse caused by Io passing in front of the Sun and Jupiter. This image was captured by the Juno mission on September 11, 2019.

Mars also experiences solar eclipses, with its moons Phobos and Deimos. Phobos, measuring 14 miles across, cannot completely cover the Sun.

A solar eclipse on Mars by Phobos occurred in April 2022, captured by the Perseverance rover on Mars. The view is fascinating, even if the moon cannot fully cover the Sun.

It is important to note that solar eclipses are not limited to Earth in our solar system; they can also be observed on other planets.
