Torkham: (RightNow) 110 Pakistani students and 592 cargo trucks stranded in Afghanistan have returned home through the Torkham border. Border officials report that the repatriation of Pakistani citizens is ongoing.

According to officials, after the border closure on October 12, 2025, several Pakistani students and cargo trucks were stuck in Afghanistan. Institutions and diplomatic officials from both countries are cooperating in this repatriation process.

Torkham border officials stated that a month ago, 70 students were also brought back. Following the return of the current 110 students, further measures are being taken for the transfer of more Pakistanis.

This return is the result of diplomatic cooperation and efforts by border administration from both countries. Officials assure that all Pakistani citizens and cargo trucks will be brought back safely.

It is noteworthy that the students expressed gratitude to the authorities and security personnel upon their return. They mentioned that they were provided with every possible facility during their return.
