Syed Muhammad Ahmed reveals AI’s impact on creative writing in Pakistani dramas.
Karachi: (RightNow) Senior actor and writer Syed Muhammad Ahmed reveals that many writers in Pakistan’s drama industry are using artificial intelligence (AI) to write scripts. According to him, producers alter scripts at will, affecting the original writers’ creative abilities.
In a podcast, Syed Muhammad Ahmed stated that talented writers exist in Pakistan, but producers make arbitrary changes for ratings and viral content. He mentioned that 17 episodes of one of his dramas were completed, but he was asked to delete content after the 11th episode.
He said scriptwriters do not have full control over their writings, which is why they allow producers to make changes. If producers do not understand their vision, they change the script themselves.
Syed Muhammad Ahmed claimed that many writers are using AI to write dramas, resulting in dialogues that do not align with local language and culture. He noted that writing a quality drama takes 10 to 11 months, making it impossible to write multiple dramas simultaneously.
It is noteworthy that the use of artificial intelligence is rapidly increasing in recent times, deeply impacting various industries, especially creative fields.
