Karachi: (RightNow) Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal laid the foundation for transforming a federal dispensary into a modern secondary care hospital in FC Area, Liaquatabad. This project is being undertaken under the ‘Federal Community Health and Prevention Service Center’.

The federal minister, addressing the ceremony, stated that large hospitals often face overcrowding. The construction of the new hospital will prevent people from traveling far. This initiative is crucial for improving public health.

The new hospital will have a capacity of 30 beds and will provide all necessary facilities, including emergency services. Syed Mustafa Kamal announced that four such hospitals will be built in Karachi.

A budget of 20 crore rupees has been allocated for the project. Syed Mustafa Kamal mentioned that the contractor has been given six months to complete the work, though he expressed a desire for quicker completion.

It is noteworthy that six projects have been approved in Pakistan, four of which are in Karachi. These dispensaries are being converted into modern secondary care hospitals.
