New York: (RightNow) U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not be arrested in the United States under any circumstances. This statement follows New York Mayor Zahran Mamdani’s legal review regarding Netanyahu’s potential arrest.

Trump stated on his social media platform, Truth Social, that Netanyahu’s arrest is not possible. Meanwhile, he praised Israel’s role. Mamdani has labeled Netanyahu a war criminal and mentioned his location in The Hague.

It is noteworthy that the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands issued a warrant against Netanyahu in 2024 for alleged war crimes. Israel has dismissed this warrant as baseless.

New York’s mayor has indicated that the city’s legal department is reviewing the legal grounds for Netanyahu’s arrest. His potential visit has reignited debate.

It should be noted that the International Criminal Court was established in 2002 and has jurisdiction over genocide and war crimes cases. However, the U.S. and Israel are not members.
