Islamabad: (RightNow) The FIA has stopped 4 passengers at Islamabad Airport from traveling to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas. They were accused of attempting illegal immigration.

According to the FIA, secondary profiling revealed discrepancies in the passengers’ documents. One passenger had previously been deported from Turkey for illegal entry, while two others held Azerbaijan visit visas.

Investigations revealed that two passengers planned to take their mother for Umrah and then send her back while they proceeded to Europe.

Chat records showed that the passengers planned to travel to Europe via the Baku-Serbia route. They were in contact with agents of a human smuggling network.

It is noteworthy that all four passengers have been offloaded and handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Islamabad for further investigation.
