Washington: (RightNow) US Secretary of State Marco Rubio urges Iran to show seriousness for a diplomatic solution. He warns that failure in diplomatic efforts will not favor Iran.

Before departing for the ASEAN Summit, Rubio informed the media that Iran is currently facing a severe economic crisis. He stated that US military actions were in response to Iran’s commercial ship activities.

Rubio added that Iran is signaling a desire for negotiations. The US has always sought genuine and productive diplomacy.

In a meeting with Lebanon’s President, Rubio expressed that the US is ready for a diplomatic solution with Iran. Pakistan also emphasizes that negotiations are the only solution to the conflict.
