Tarbela Dam spillways opening raises Indus River water levels; public advised caution.
Haripur: (RightNow) Tarbela Dam spillways were opened for the first time today at 11 AM. The aim is to control the flow of excess water.
The opening of the dam’s spillways increased the water flow from 220,000 cusecs to 230,000 cusecs. This rise is also causing an increase in the water level of the Indus River.
