The inauguration of Rawalpindi Ring Road faces uncertainty again due to an NOC dispute, risking the August 14 deadline.
Rawalpindi: (Right Now News) The inauguration of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project has once again become uncertain. The deadline set for August 14 is now at risk.
Sources indicate that the construction of the main route is complete. However, a dispute over the NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the service area has brought the project to a new phase.
The NOC case for the service area, covering 102 kanals and 14 marlas, will be heard on July 16 in the Lahore High Court. The final decision on the inauguration depends on the court proceedings.
Six different inauguration deadlines for the Ring Road project have already passed. However, the project has not yet been opened to the public.
It is noteworthy that due to the NOC scandal, five officials, including the former commissioner and former deputy commissioner, have been removed. The new administration is awaiting the court’s decision.
