London: (Right Now News) The England Cricket Board has removed Brendon McCullum from the position of head coach of the Test team. He will continue as the head coach of the white-ball team.

McCullum was appointed as the head coach of the Test team in May 2022. Under his coaching, England won 27 out of 49 Test matches, lost 20, and drew 2 matches.

During McCullum’s tenure, England introduced an aggressive strategy, initially achieving success. However, the team’s performance has significantly declined recently.

England lost 7 out of their last 9 Test matches, including a 4-1 defeat in the Ashes series against Australia and a 2-1 loss to New Zealand.

It should be noted that the England Cricket Board will announce a new head coach and captain before the upcoming Test series against Pakistan. The leadership position is vacant following Ben Stokes’ retirement.
