Tehran: (Right Now News) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced that the pre-war status in the Strait of Hormuz will not be restored. He clarified that services in the waterway will no longer be free.

Araghchi further stated that the Strait of Hormuz is a crucial defensive resource for Iran. According to him, this waterway falls under the sovereignty of Iran and Oman.

The Iranian Foreign Minister mentioned that the issue of the Strait of Hormuz is included in the memorandum of understanding. He added that the end of the US naval blockade against Iran is also part of the text.

According to Araghchi, if the memorandum of understanding is not implemented, there will be no negotiations for a final agreement. He stated that Iran is aware of the other party’s previous breaches of promises.

It should be noted that the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US has not yet been signed. Araghchi mentioned that the text has been altered several times and the decision will be made through collective consultation.
