Washington: (Right Now News) The World Bank has warned that millions of young people in developing countries, including Pakistan, may face job shortages in the next 10 to 15 years.

During the annual meeting of the World Bank and IMF, employment was highlighted as a major issue. Concerns were also raised about the situation in the Middle East. World Bank President Ajay Banga stated that employment is the most effective means to reduce poverty.

The meeting revealed that job opportunities in Pakistan are expected to decrease due to the rapidly growing population. In developing countries, 1.2 billion young people will be employable in the next 10 to 15 years.

The World Bank expects to provide $80 to $100 billion in aid to member countries. The bank emphasized immediate relief and long-term economic reforms, identifying private investment as key to growth.

It is noteworthy that the World Bank has identified energy, infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, and health sectors as crucial for increasing employment. Promoting tourism could boost the economy and job creation.
