Rawalpindi: (Right Now News). The ban on crude oil tankers for Attock Refinery has been lifted, restoring the oil supply.

This decision averts the risk of fuel shortages in northern areas. Refinery officials are hopeful for the resumption of production soon.

Heavy traffic restrictions in Rawalpindi had caused a shortage of crude oil at the refinery. The CEO of Attock Refinery had warned that the refinery would shut down if traffic restrictions were not lifted.

The lack of crude oil threatened the potential closure of Attock Refinery and a shortage of jet fuel.

It is noteworthy that the ban had raised concerns about jet fuel shortages at Islamabad and Peshawar airports.
